Mixed Media

T.E.Ott and Company's approach to mixed media ranges from glass, epoxy resin, botanical elements (Oshibana art) to wire weaving and wrapping plus the addition of beads, jewels, and diamond dust, when the story demands its use. In other words, we see mixed media being a stirring of any and all possibilities.

Self Portrait

It’s fitting that my face be pictured first in this Artistic category, because this is Quintessentially my style.

I mix glass and the ancient aspects of mosaic with the traditional technique of painting on plaster. The mix is who I am.

Roses

I love flowers and have 5 and a pirate popping up in my yard. I always photograph my plants when they are in full bloom. I must say, these guys did me proud as a gardener.

I posted this photo on FB and one of my friends told me Rose was his mother’s middle name. The point is this flower made a personal connection with someone.

I think that is what every artist truly wants, “…to make a connection.” Rose did that.

Green Geode

This mixed media piece was inspired by a visit to a natural history museum in Pittsburgh,PA. Everything was wonderful but the mineral section was my favorite. I loved all that sparkle.

I am always intrigued by the less than obvious. My eyes always seek out the unusual.

This green gem reflects my eye color. They too are green with a streak of brown, and that is what this work presents - what I see as beautiful and thus what I give to you in order that you see the beauty too. It’s gorgeous. What’s not to love in jewelry ?

Ava Flower

This flower painting/mosaic piece presents a very dainty white lacy blooming flower. Alyssum is a lovely addition to any garden, but here I gave it star billing. No more just an addition . Be a star.

I enlarged the petals, and I let the world see the flow of colors and light that pass through these white petals.

I name this piece after my niece, Ava Clare LaSalle. I love her and I love you and this is my message of love to all of you.
